When does billing start?
You are billed monthly for the API calls your application made during the billing period. There is no base charge and no minimum spend, so if you do not call the API, you do not pay.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. There's no base fee, no minimum spend, and no contract. You pay only for the API calls you make. If you stop calling the API, you stop paying.
How do volume discounts work?
Each operation has tiered pricing. The first N calls per billing cycle are priced at the standard rate, and additional calls automatically drop to the lower tier. Discounts apply within the same billing period, with no manual action needed.
Can I use multiple operations on the same account?
Yes. Every account has access to all operations: face comparison, face detection, label detection, and text detection. Each one is priced and tracked independently.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. A valid payment method must be on file before you can call the Vision API. Account signup, console access, and creating API keys are free.
Can I create multiple API keys?
Yes. You can create as many keys as you need, scoped to specific operations or environments. Keys can be revoked at any time from the console without affecting other keys.
